Role Summary

Supports the Program Manager in executing defense manufacturing programs (Mk41 Vertical Launch System & Mk 45 Naval Gun System), ensuring delivery on time, within scope, cost, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage scope, schedule, and cost for assigned program tasks
• Track risks, opportunities, and change management
• Serve as Control Account Manager (CAM)
• Monitor Earned Value Management (EVM) performance
• Support development of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Report key metrics (delivery, cost, materials, labor performance)
• Lead cross-functional/matrix teams
• Improve program performance through data-driven analysis
• Ensure compliance with export and security regulations
• Support customer meetings across time zones

Required Skills

• Project/program management experience (2+ years)
• Scope, schedule, and cost management
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities
• Strong communication and teamwork

• EVM / EVMS experience
• CAM (Control Account Management)
• IMS (Integrated Master Schedule)
• ETC / EAC cost forecasting
• Defense / DoD contracting experience
• Oracle / ERP systems
• Advanced Excel
• PMP or CAPM certification
• Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract experience
• Cross-functional leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years experience in project/program management or equivalent
• Exposure to EVM and CAM preferred
• MS Office proficiency

Other Details

• Location: Chula Vista, CA (Onsite)
• Schedule: 6 AM start, 5 days/week
• Travel: ~10% (including international)
