As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting department, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions.Maintain fixed asset register and prepare monthly depreciation journal entriesParticipate in month/quarter/year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.File periodic tax returns (Sales and Use, Unsecured property)Evaluate, document and improve internal controls and accounting processesPartner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance financial operationsDevelop and coach small team of direct reports inclusive of employee reviews, goal setting and training.Perform ad hoc reviews and analysis, as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field4+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (LOOKUP, pivot tables).Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standardsExperience with ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting software.Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.In our efforts to maintain a safe and drug-free workplace, Teledyne Relays requires that candidates complete a satisfactory background check and pass a drug screen prior to employment.Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).Please note the salary range posted is a general guideline for this job level and location.
