Key Assignment Details:

• Full-time contract through May 28, 2027
• 1:1 support at the elementary level (Chaffee Elementary)
• 40 hours per week; consistent school hours from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Requires unwavering daily attendance and commitment for the full assignment duration

Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Valid Alabama SLI/Interpreter license or permit
• Highly regarded interpreting certification (RID, EIPA, BEI, or equivalent) preferred
• Prior experience in a school setting as an interpreter is an asset
• Track record of 1:1 student interpreting support desirable
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to adhere to set school schedules
• Experience collaborating with educational teams and school staff is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional sign language interpreting services to one designated elementary student throughout the academic day
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate access to instruction and social interaction
