Plant Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor Location: St. Charles, IL Salary: $70,000 - $97,500 Relocation Assistance Available Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Education reimbursement Lead a High-Performing Maintenance Team We're seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled team responsible for keeping a fast-paced manufacturing operation running safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching employees, improving equipment reliability, and driving continuous improvement while partnering closely with production leadership. What You'll Do Supervise and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians and Electricians. Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. Partner with production to minimize downtime and maximize equipment uptime. Prioritize maintenance work orders and ensure timely completion. Troubleshoot equipment issues and help implement long-term corrective solutions. Monitor maintenance performance through KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and inventory. Coach, mentor, and develop employees while promoting a positive team culture. Assist with scheduling, resource planning, and maintenance projects. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent maintenance leadership experience. Previous experience leading, coaching, or mentoring maintenance personnel. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced operation. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems (CMMS) is a plus. Flexibility to support occasional evenings or weekends when business needs require. Preferred Qualifications Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Knowledge of PLCs, electrical systems, instrumentation, hydraulics, pneumatics, boilers, compressed air, or ammonia refrigeration. Familiarity with TPM, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, and team development skills. Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
