HR Director – Payroll & Scheduling

Location: Hybrid, partly from home and partly in Staten Island. The position is expected to transition to Rockland County in the future. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year

We're seeking an organized, dependable HR Director to oversee payroll, employee scheduling, and onboarding. This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage day-to-day HR operations, communicate clearly with employees and managers, and keep records accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule
• Coordinate employee schedules and help address coverage needs
• Manage onboarding for new hires, including paperwork and orientation
• Maintain employee files and HR records
• Support employees and managers with payroll, scheduling, and onboarding questions
• Help ensure HR processes follow company policies and applicable requirements
• Coordinate HR operations as the position transitions from Staten Island to Rockland County

Qualifications

• Experience in human resources, payroll, scheduling, or a related administrative role
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable handling confidential employee information
• Clear communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with computers and payroll or HR systems
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with a team
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience preferred
