HHM Talent is assisting a VC backed client in their search for a Strategic Projects Lead in San Francisco, CA. About the Company This client is an AI research lab building frontier datasets and experimentation platforms that help push the capabilities of foundation models. Their customers include the world's leading AI labs, and they work directly with frontier model developers to generate next‑generation datasets. The company is based in San Francisco and backed by a number of well recognized VC firms. Position Overview This is a founding operations leadership role working directly with the executive team across product development, AI research, customer delivery, and company operations. The Strategic Projects Lead owns delivery of high-value contracts with frontier AI labs, manage teams of domain experts, interface directly with AI researchers, and execute critical company initiatives. This is an extremely high‑agency, execution‑focused role designed for people who thrive in demanding startup environments. Key Responsibilities Lead delivery of high‑value AI data contracts for frontier AI labs Manage teams of experts across finance, software engineering, science, healthcare, and other domains Collaborate with internal research teams on next‑generation AI datasets Execute strategic cross‑functional initiatives as an early employee Support company operations across multiple business functions Interface directly with researchers and technical stakeholders Own projects from execution through successful delivery Qualifications Demonstrated history of exceptional execution in high‑pressure environments Strong leadership and communication skills Passion for AI and entrepreneurship Competitive, high‑agency mindset Ability to own large, ambiguous projects Willingness to work 60-70+ hours per week Comfortable working 6-7 days per week Must work in‑person in San Francisco Preferred Investment Banking Management Consulting Private Equity Startup Operations Healthcare or HealthTech experience AI operations or data operations Experience leading complex cross‑functional initiatives Visa Sponsorship Visa Sponsorship NOT available #J-18808-Ljbffr
