Job Description: To continue to be an industry pioneer in delivering unparalleled care, we need a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant with commitment and compassion. Are you one of them? As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant , you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways: - Provide occupational therapy services by following the care plan developed by the Occupational Therapist. - Visit patients regularly and monitor their progress during each visit. - Report changes in a patient's condition to the Occupational Therapist, physician, and care team. - Follow physician orders and the established plan of care. - Teach patients and caregivers home therapy exercises and safe techniques. - Work closely with the care team to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care. - Complete accurate and timely documentation for each patient visit. - Help reduce avoidable hospital and emergency room visits through proactive patient care. - Stay up to date on healthcare regulations and agency policies. - Work in a physically active role that may include lifting, transferring patients, and occasional irregular or on-call hours. What is Required? - Graduate of a certified occupational therapy curriculum established by the Occupational Therapy Association - Current, unrestricted COTA certification in the state of work - Minimum one (1) year of experience as a COTA in a clinical care setting - Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment - Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.
