Title: Maintenance Technician II The Maintenance Tech II is a highly skilled, independent contributor responsible for advanced troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and mentoring junior technicians in a food manufacturing environment. The Technician II supports and maintains a safe work environment and equipment reliability to improve the operations of CAVA Foods. The role supports safety, equipment, production, quality, and distribution to support the consumer-packaged goods business and our CAVA locations throughout the US. This role reports to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager and Operations team to support production operations, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. What You’ll Do: Lead complex mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting with minimal supervision. Identify and implement reliability improvements to reduce downtime. Provide training and technical guidance to Maintenance Technician I. Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot PLC I/O, sensors, drives, and HMI fault conditions. Actively contribute to your department in order to complete tasks and meet company goals. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance in assigned area. Perform repairs and equipment installation/removal in an efficient manner. Maintain good housekeeping at workstations and work areas. Respond to plant emergencies including equipment malfunction, fires, severe weather, etc. as directed by supervision. Expert knowledge of Lockout/tagout procedures. Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists. Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager. Be willing to assist in operation of equipment throughout the shift. Abide by policies and procedures that support the service mindset. Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly The Qualifications: Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field Technical degree/ apprenticeship, current enrollment in apprenticeship program preferred 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience required Food manufacturing experience preferred Advanced experience with automated conveyor systems and controls Advanced experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards Advanced experience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) Ability to troubleshoot basic Input/Output functions. Experience with robotic operation/ maintenance Advanced stainless steel TIG welding, including sanitary fabrication Strong knowledge of wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical troubleshooting. Experience in the following areas: Work order management / CMMS Systems. Preventive/predictive maintenance procedures. Commonly used industrial hand tools. Basic troubles shooting skills. Basic blueprint and schematic reading. Basic AC/DC electrical and electronic principles. Basic metal fabrication and welding (Tig, Mig) Basic Knowledge of Industrial Controls. Exceptional interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills Strong PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices. Competency using Microsoft Office Physical Requirements: Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner What we offer: Competitivewages Early Wage Access!
