Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to residents within a long-term care facility, following the approved plan of care.
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient evaluations; develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve activities of daily living, mobility, and functional independence.
- Monitor progress, adjust goals and treatment strategies as needed, and document outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, physicians, therapy aides, social work) to coordinate care and support discharge planning.
- Educate residents and families on therapy plans, home exercise programs, and adaptive equipment use; promote patient safety and fall prevention.
- Maintain infection control, safety standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements during therapy sessions.

Requirements
- Active North Dakota license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (or eligible for licensure under state requirements)
- Graduation from an accredited OTA program
- Experience in acute care or long-term care settings preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a long-term care facility environment
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with rehabilitation concepts and plan-of-care development
