Caregiver

Caregiver PositionA caregiver is responsible for providing continuous support for individuals who are at risk of falling, wandering, or self-injury. The caregiver must remain vigilant and attentive to the needs of the clients at all times, ensuring effective communication with the agency & nursing staff when necessary. Additionally, the caregiver monitors and reports any changes in the client's condition or behavior and documents these observations in the client's medical record. Maintaining confidentiality, adhering to safety procedures, and effectively communicating with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals are essential responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent observational and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to clients safety and satisfaction.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare settingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCompassionate and caring attitude towards patientsValid Drivers LicenseReliable transportation and ability to travel to assignmentAbility to lift and move patients as neededWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsBasic computer skills, including proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systemsCompliance with all state and federal regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality (such as HIPAA)
