Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN, LPN/LVN, or CSN credentials, approved in Pennsylvania
• Experience in a school nursing role or pediatric care setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to respond calmly in emergencies
• Competence in health screenings, medication administration, and care planning
• Understanding of student confidentiality and FERPA regulations
• Current CPR/BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration and treatment of injuries and illnesses
• Conduct health assessments, screenings, and immunization tracking
• Document and maintain accurate health records in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside healthcare providers to support student well-being
• Educate students and staff on health topics, hygiene, and chronic condition management
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and implement appropriate interventions
