CGP: Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper

Junior Accountant
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Junior Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting flat pay rate of $30.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in compliance with policies.
- Review invoices and payment requests to ensure correctness and proper documentation.
- Generate and distribute checks and electronic payments promptly.
- Maintain vendor files and resolve payment issues efficiently.
- Complete monthly close processes and upload journal entries to Dynamics.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, including creating and managing pivot tables.
- Possess experience performing bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Show ability to prepare daily cash reports and corresponding journal entries.
- Exhibit familiarity with uploading journal entries into accounting systems.
- Understand non-profit accounting principles and practices.
Qualifications:
- A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Bring prior experience in accounts payable and general accounting functions.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with internal teams and vendors.
- Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Apply strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills in daily work.
