Step into a vital role supporting elementary and middle school students as a Registered Nurse providing comprehensive school-based care for the upcoming academic year. This contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, totaling 35 hours each week, starting September 4th and concluding June 25th.

As a key member of the school’s health services team, you’ll manage a diverse caseload across different school buildings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff. Your skills and attentiveness will play a pivotal part in identifying health needs, supporting students with chronic conditions, handling emergencies, and serving as a trusted resource within the school community.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, valid NJ School Nursing RN license
• Previous experience working in a school setting
• Strong familiarity and comfort with district protocols and expectations—please be upfront about your experience
• Ability to provide care across the entire caseload, covering elementary and middle school students
• Confidence in overseeing the health needs of entire school buildings
• Reliable transportation with a commute that allows for dependable attendance (must be located nearby)
• LPN credentials are not accepted for this opportunity

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and preventative nursing care to K-8 students
• Respond promptly to medical situations and manage health emergencies
• Complete all relevant documentation and reporting as required by the school and district
• Serve as a liaison between families, school personnel, and healthcare providers
• Foster a culture of wellness and safety for all students

Onboarding will include a physical exam, TB test, fingerprinting for both agency and district, and verification of licensure. Interviews are succinct and efficient, lasting only 15 minutes.
