Position Summary: The Human Resources Manager serves as the on-site HR leader for the Phoenix manufacturing facility and is responsible for leading and executing site-level human resources operations in alignment with company policies, corporate HR strategy, and applicable employment laws. This position partners closely with plant leadership and Corporate HR functions to support workforce planning, recruiting and staffing in partnership with Talent Acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation processes, training and development, compliance, and overall employee engagement. The HR Manager serves as a key liaison between the Phoenix site and Corporate HR leadership in Holland, Michigan, ensuring consistent application of HR programs and practices while addressing the operational needs of the local facility. The HR Manager also provides leadership, coaching, and development to assigned on-site HR team members and supports the continued development and improvement of HR processes as the Phoenix operation grows. Serve as the primary on-site HR partner for Phoenix plant leadership, managers, supervisors, and employees. Serve as the primary HR escalation point for complex employee relations, policy, compliance, and workforce matters at the Phoenix facility, escalating significant matters to Corporate HR leadership as appropriate. Partner with Corporate HR and site leadership to implement HR strategies, policies, programs, and processes in alignment with organizational objectives. Support workforce planning and staffing needs for hourly and salaried positions in partnership with Talent Acquisition and functional leadership. Provide guidance to leaders regarding employee relations, performance concerns, workplace conduct, attendance, policy interpretation, and corrective action. Manage and support employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes. Support implementation of company performance management programs, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback cycles, promotions, and related processes. Partner with Compensation and leadership on compensation-related processes in accordance with established company programs and guidelines. Coordinate with appropriate HR functions to ensure effective new hire orientation, onboarding, and integration of employees into the Phoenix facility. Support employee engagement, retention, communication, and workplace culture initiatives. Coordinate and monitor required HR, compliance, leadership, and job-related training in partnership with applicable departments and subject matter experts. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and company HR policies. Oversee site HR administrative requirements, including Form I-9 processes, employment documentation, and appropriate maintenance of confidential employee records. Maintain accurate HR documentation and support internal audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements. Analyze workforce trends, employee relations matters, turnover, staffing, and other HR metrics to identify risks and opportunities for improvement. Partner with Corporate HR in Holland, Michigan, to maintain consistency across HR practices while addressing Phoenix-specific operational requirements. Build effective relationships with Production, Quality, Safety, General Affairs, and other site functions to support business and workforce needs. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, communication, employee experience, and operational effectiveness. Address employee concerns, performance issues, attendance concerns, and workplace conduct matters promptly and consistently, partnering with Human Resources when appropriate. Make timely, informed decisions; elevate significant risks or issues appropriately; and take ownership of team and organizational outcomes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field. Previous experience leading, supervising, or providing functional leadership to HR team members. Demonstrated experience handling employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and corrective action. Experience partnering directly with managers and senior leaders on HR and workforce matters. Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong judgment, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee information. Preferred Qualifications: 6+ years of progressive human resources experience. Experience serving as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or senior HR practitioner within a manufacturing facility. Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations. Experience working within a multi-site or matrixed HR organization. Experience supporting a growing or start-up manufacturing operation. Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking, payroll, performance management, and other HR technology platforms. Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR. Korean language proficiency is a plus.
