Job Description Job Description Position Overview As our Medical Office Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional customer service. You will be the friendly voice and face of our practice, helping patients feel comfortable and supported from the moment they reach out. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner , addressing patient inquiries with empathy and care. Confirm and schedule patient appointments efficiently. Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out processes. Collect patient balances and process payments accurately. Verify insurance information and assist with billing inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic health record system. Handle administrative tasks including faxing, scanning, and filing. Support the clinical team with other front-office duties as needed to ensure excellent patient experience. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a medical office, particularly with insurance verification and billing, is preferred but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a consistently professional and courteous phone demeanor. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Proficiency with computers and basic office software. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. A compassionate and patient-focused attitude is essential.
