Interim Director of Nursing (DON) | Travel Contract Job Type: Travel Contract Location: New York Duration: 13 Weeks Schedule: 40 Hours/Week | Primarily Days (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), flexibility required Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) for a 13-week travel assignment with one of our healthcare clients in New York. This leadership role is ideal for a nursing professional with a strong Long-Term Care (LTC) background who can oversee nursing operations, ensure quality patient care, maintain regulatory compliance, and lead clinical teams in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing operations within the facility. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to maintain high standards of patient care. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve clinical outcomes. • Monitor quality assurance, infection prevention, and patient safety initiatives. • Manage staffing, scheduling, and operational challenges as needed. • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to urgent clinical or operational issues. Requirements • Active RN License (New York or Compact, if applicable). • Current BLS Certification. • Minimum 2 years of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience. • Previous Director of Nursing (DON) experience is strongly preferred. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • Ability to adapt quickly and lead effectively in an interim assignment. Contract Details • 13-week travel assignment. • 40 hours per week. • Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility based on facility needs. • On-call responsibilities required.
