Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a dynamic environment that champions best practices and exceptional customer service. Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term objectives.
• Apply new knowledge and skills gained through ongoing education to improve patient care and promote cost-saving measures.
• Make informed patient care assignments based on nurse expertise, patient acuity, and technical needs.
• Deliver excellent guest relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate clearly and professionally to manage expectations and provide timely responses to patient needs.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise, using electronic devices appropriately, and supporting healthcare students and their programs.
• Prioritize safety for patients, guests, staff, and self by adhering to national safety standards, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
• Engage in professional growth through certifications, advanced degrees, leadership opportunities, and participation in nursing research and evidence-based practice.
• Foster teamwork by motivating and guiding colleagues, encouraging cooperation, and developing leadership through mentoring and feedback.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications.

Licensure: Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.

Work Environment: Full-time, first shift position in a healthcare facility located in a regional area of the Midwest United States.
