About the Role:
Join GT Power Construction Inc. as a Field Technician and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality construction services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on in the field, contributing to innovative projects in Concord, CA.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on solar PV and battery storage systems.
- Perform insulation resistance (Megger) testing and other electrical diagnostics.
- Identify and rectify system performance, communication, and hardware issues.
- Replace and recommission faulty equipment, including:
- SolarEdge optimizers
- Inverters
- Battery storage systems
- Solar modules/panels
- Manage and perform manufacturer warranty replacements (RMA process).
- Commission and recommission systems following repairs or equipment replacement.
- Complete service reports and ensure all work is carried out safely and to industry standards.
- Experience servicing and troubleshooting SolarEdge, Tesla, Enphase, and LG Battery systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Competency in Megger testing and electrical testing procedures.
- Experience replacing inverters, optimizers, batteries, and solar modules.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and commissioning documentation.
- Current driver's license and ability to work independently in the field.
