TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24014!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU/PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience at a large facility required. License: Active state or compact RN license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must be comfortable working in all ICU and PCU units. Charting experience with EPIC is required. Description: Position available for an RN in the ICU/PCU Float role. The role requires flexibility as the traveler may float to different units based on staffing needs. Staffing needs are re-evaluated every four hours, and travelers could float 2-3 times per shift. Weekend and holiday work is required as per hospital policy. Candidates must have experience with IV therapy, including arterial line management and blood product administration. Management of ventilated patients and administration of emergency medications are also required. Candidates must be proficient in monitoring cardiac rhythms and adhering to IV insulin protocols. The average patient ratio in the ICU is 2:1, while in the PCU it is 5:1. This position requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in a teaching hospital or Level I/II trauma facility. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates must be willing to work holidays and weekends as needed. All additional requests must be communicated upfront during the application process.
