Location: Middletown, NJ 07748

Position: Direct Hire

Salary: $60,000–$70,000

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

⭐ Required: Commercial Retail / Shopping Center Experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join a growing real estate investment office. This position will support the day-to-day operations of commercial real estate shopping centers while providing exposure to commercial real estate ownership, development, financing, management, and operations.

The Assistant Property Manager will assist with contracts, lease obligations, tenant and vendor relationships, property maintenance, financial reporting, and overall property operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and collaborate with the Senior Asset Manager and Director of Operations
• Manage tenant and vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and compliance
• Oversee property maintenance, repairs, and improvements
• Monitor property management software and maintain accurate records and data
• Conduct property/site inspections and prepare reports
• Assist with budget preparation
• Respond to tenant questions, service requests, and complaints
• Participate in tenant lease renewals and track rental increases
• Handle Accounts Receivable, general ledger reporting, and CAM reconciliations
• Travel to properties for site inspections, approximately 37% / every 6 weeks

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of commercial real estate experience
• Commercial retail / shopping center management experience required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and property management software
• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be able to commute to or relocate to Middletown, NJ
