Patient Intake Coordinator

Job Description

Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred.
Scheduling and/or prescheduling patient appointments.

Greeting patients and/or their representatives and providing direction as needed.

Assist patient and/or their representative with completing registration/intake forms (paper and online).

Answer phones and complete clerical tasks.

Provide patient appointment reminder phone calls.

Verification of insurance eligibility/coverage and obtaining necessary preauthorization.

Identify available programs for uninsured patients, assist patients with completing applications.

Collecting/processing co-payments, deductibles and/or other types of payments.

Coordinate care and appointments with other medical offices/facilities.

Create and manage patient records in electronic record system.
May be able to travel to community outreach events.
Work well in team environment.
