Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Inpatient Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to join the growing team at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. Full-Time opportunities are available. This is an excellent opportunity to become a member of our expanding network. This position will support the Neurosurgeons in both the outpatient and inpatient setting, with a strong focus on surgical cases. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and strong communication with a commitment to outstanding patient care. Weekends and Holidays are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive medical services under physician supervision, including performing patient histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, managing conditions, and prescribing medication.
- Serve as a key member of the healthcare team by participating in interdisciplinary rounds, facilitating clear communication, and ensuring coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Apply evidence-based medicine to improve patient outcomes, serve as a clinical resource and mentor to other staff and students, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all clinical activities are documented accurately and adhere to all Hackensack Meridian Health policies, professional standards, and standards of behavior.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
- Physician Assistant License.
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
COMPENSATION:
Full Time Minimum Starting Salary: $156, 603.20

Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization.
Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
