Regional Property Manager

Direct hire | $125,000 per year

Lead where the work happens

We’re looking for a hands-on Regional Property Manager to lead operations across six residential communities totaling approximately 544 units in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

This is a visible, field-based leadership role for someone who enjoys walking properties, working alongside maintenance and property teams, and turning sound decisions into consistent follow-through. You’ll coach people, strengthen day-to-day operations, protect the assets, and help each community feel welcoming to residents and team members.

The portfolio

You’ll support a team that includes a multi-site Property Manager, a long-tenured single-site Property Manager, a Leasing Agent, experienced Superintendents, and a Maintenance Technician.

The six communities are Newtonian Gardens in Newton, Ascot Park in Lafayette, Washington Arms in Washington, Clinton Manor in Dover, Summit Ridge in Pennsylvania, and Frenchtown Commons in Frenchtown.

What you’ll do

• Visit communities regularly, assess property conditions, and stay connected with residents and on-site teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop property and maintenance staff. Set clear expectations, recognize strengths, and address performance issues directly.
• Oversee operating results, including leasing, marketing, occupancy, resident relations, and daily property performance.
• Work closely with maintenance teams on service delivery, preventative maintenance, building needs, and asset preservation.
• Guide renovations and capital improvements from planning through completion.
• Review competitor activity and market conditions, and help set rents that support each community’s position.
• Use Yardi to monitor operations, maintain accurate records, and ensure commitments and details are followed through.
• Make timely, confident decisions and take ownership of problems through resolution.
• Support compliance with applicable housing requirements and Section 8 processes.

What you’ll bring

• Residential property management experience with responsibility for operations, leasing or marketing, and team supervision.
• Multi-site experience and a record of being actively involved at the communities you oversee.
• Strong Yardi proficiency.
• Working knowledge of New Jersey landlord-tenant requirements.
• Significant experience working with maintenance teams and the ability to build their trust and engagement.
• Experience coaching and developing employees, including addressing performance concerns.
• Experience evaluating competitors and influencing market rents.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-up, independent judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel among the assigned communities and work from the home office and properties as business needs require.

Experience with older or vintage properties, renovations, affordable or workforce housing, Section 8, and Pennsylvania housing requirements is a plus. Yardi CRM and Leonardo247 experience are also helpful.

Compensation and work arrangement

• $125,000 annual salary
• $500 monthly car reimbursement
• $100 monthly phone reimbursement
• Gas station access near the home office

• Typical schedule is approximately two days in the home office and three days at properties, depending on business needs
