Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and on time across multiple store locations
- Reconcile accounts payable and prepare payment schedules
- Perform monthly bank and corporate credit card reconciliations
- Manage corporate card activity, including vendor auto-payments, receipt matching, and related entries
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close and general ledger work
- Research and resolve variances, discrepancies, and vendor account issues
- Help improve and automate AP and reconciliation processes
- Maintain organized digital records of all financial documents
- Handle AP-related email and mail
- Communicate professionally with vendors, store managers, and internal teams
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in general accounting, accounts payable, reconciliations
- Working knowledge of debits/credits, journal entries, and the month-end close
- Comfortable with technology: cloud accounting software (Sage Intacct a plus), intermediate Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables), and openness to automation and AI tools
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Multi-entity or multi-location experience a plus
- Able to work Monday to Friday on-site, 8-hour shift
