Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech

Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)Assists surgeons in various surgeries or procedures. Determines needs of the surgeons consistently to achieve quality patient care. Establishes and maintains a sterile field, including sterile tables, tools, and patient draping. Selects and prepares necessary supplies and equipment for each surgical procedure. Checks supplies and equipment for working order. Completes routine and priority tasks within established departmental time frames. May perform clerical tasks such as retrieving, entering, and revising patient electronic health records. Prepares and completes documentation related to supply inventory and orders new supplies when necessary. Maintains a clean, neat, and safe working environment. Ensures the operating room is clean before and after procedures. Inspects and calibrates equipment accordingly for proper operation. Records quality control results and reports any malfunctions. Maintains strict confidentiality of all patients' protected health information (PHI). Protects PHI from accidental or intentional disclosure. Performs work in compliance with departmental standards, policies, and procedures. Delivers the highest level of patient safety and care.
