Location: Minnetonka, MN Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 Schedule: Full-time - Normal Business Hours Job Type: Direct Hire
About the Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Purchasing Assistant to support procurement and production operations for a leading company. This is a hands-on role that works both in an office setting and directly on the production floor to ensure materials are available and production runs smoothly. What You'll Do:
Assist in sourcing materials, products, and services from approved vendors Prepare and process purchase orders while maintaining accurate purchasing records Track orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to meet production needs Work closely with production teams to support material flow and resolve shortages
What You Need to Bring:
High school diploma required; associate or bachelors degree preferred 13 years of experience in purchasing Basic understanding of supply chain and inventory management processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP/MRP system experience is a plus Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
