Title: C# RESTful API Engineering Lead

Location: Remote

Length: Long Term Contract

Core Focus: Leading the design, build, and scaling of high-volume C#/.NET RESTful APIs on Azure (60M+ calls/day), while owning team delivery and cross-org technical accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, and maintenance of high-volume RESTful APIs (C#, .NET) on Azure — this is the primary technical accountability of the role
\n
• Drive security and performance improvements across the API layer, applying best practices for public-facing endpoints
\n
• Lead engineering and product teams through 3-week sprint cycles — defining use cases, delegating tasks, ensuring on-time delivery
\n
• Run and participate in stakeholder meetings — communicating progress, surfacing risk, aligning business and technical priorities
\n
• Troubleshoot cross-team and cross-vendor issues (internal teams, Microsoft, D365, third-party vendors), owning root-cause resolution regardless of origin
\n

Minimum Requirements

\n
• 7+ years hands-on C#/.NET backend development, with demonstrated API leadership experience
\n
• Deep expertise building/scaling RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core / Web API
\n
• Strong OOP, DI, and design pattern fundamentals — able to set standards for a team, not just apply them individually
\n
• Experience leading engineers through Agile/sprint delivery cycles
\n

In addition to core C#/.NET leadership skills:

• Azure App Services, Function Apps, Front Door, WAF — securing and scaling public-facing APIs
\n
• Cross-vendor troubleshooting experience (Microsoft, D365, third-party integrations)
\n
• Snowflake (data layer familiarity)
\n
• GitHub, Postman for team workflow and API testing/documentation standards
\n
• Stakeholder communication — comfortable translating technical risk for non-technical audiences
\n
