Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students in a specialized learning environment. This position focuses on serving a small caseload—never more than 10 students—in ECS classrooms, providing dedicated instruction and support for those following an adaptive curriculum. Your expertise can truly make an impact throughout the academic year, from October 1 through May 21, 2027, with a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Adaptive Curriculum Certification is required
  • Experience working with elementary age students in a special education setting
  • Familiarity with adaptive and individualized instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational skills and a commitment to inclusive education

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
  • Provide differentiated instruction to elementary students within ECS classrooms
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists, and administrators to foster student growth
  • Monitor progress, maintain detailed records, and adjust strategies as needed
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student development and classroom activities
  • Create a nurturing and structured classroom atmosphere conducive to adaptive learning
