Specialist - Quality

Work Schedule: Mon - Fri / 12:00p - 10:30p / Some weekends if needed. Division: Gulf States. Job Description The Specialist - Quality will be responsible for ensuring raw material and product integrity along with other Quality Assurance activities for the plant to include syrup and/or beverage preparation and distribution, microbiology, sanitation, finished product analysis, package integrity testing, and process control by following all current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). What Your Day Will Look Like Test finished product as well as specific packaging attributes as described by our Parent Company to ensure that our finished products meet required specifications Perform micro sample collection and testing Blend syrup and/or finished product (hot fill) from concentrate Internal and external cleaning/sanitation of production machinery and storage areas Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management What You Need To Succeed Minimum age 18 years old Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job Ability to read, write and speak English Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology Ability to demonstrate independence, analytical skills, and strategic thinking Effective communication skills High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required Ability to execute lab analysis on varying pieces of equipment and instruments Ability to work independently as well as with all functional team members Effective interpersonal, quality management, problem solving, time management, multi-tasking, and communication skills Ability to climb 10 – 12 ft ladder Physical Requirements Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program.
