Billing Manager

A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Billing Manager to lead and optimize its billing operations within a sophisticated, fast-paced environment. This is a senior-level opportunity for a hands‑on professional with deep law firm billing expertise and proven leadership experience. Coyote / Finance Core by SurePoint Experience Preferred Key Responsibilities Billing Operations Oversee the full lifecycle of billing, including pre‑bills, revisions, invoice generation, and adjustments Manage complex billing structures such as hourly, alternative fee arrangements, fixed fees, and blended rates Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and e‑billing requirements Serve as a subject matter expert on billing processes and best practices Systems & Process Management Act as the primary expert on billing platforms (including Tabs and similar systems), ensuring proper configuration and optimization Partner cross‑functionally to improve workflows, reporting, and system integrations Develop reporting tools and dashboards to track billing performance, realization, and revenue Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with attorneys and leadership to resolve billing issues and support client‑specific billing strategies Provide insights on rate structures, billing efficiency, and compliance requirements Support audit processes and respond to client inquiries Leadership & Team Oversight Manage and develop a team of billing professionals, including training and performance management Establish billing schedules, enforce deadlines, and maintain quality control standards Create and maintain internal procedures and documentation Monitor key financial metrics including realization, aged receivables, and unbilled time Identify process improvements to enhance billing accuracy and cash flow Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes related to revenue Qualifications & Requirements 15+ years of progressive law firm billing experience in a complex environment Experience utilizing Coyote / Finance Core by SurePoint HIGHLY PREFERRED Demonstrated experience managing billing teams Strong knowledge of legal billing practices, client guidelines, and revenue cycles Hands‑on experience with billing platforms (Tabs required; exposure to similar systems strongly preferred) Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders Experience supporting large or multi‑office organizations Exposure to e‑billing systems and client audit processes Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) A collaborative leader with strong interpersonal skills Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment A strategic thinker who can improve processes while maintaining operational excellence #J-18808-Ljbffr TBG | The Bachrach Group
