VETERINARY Practice Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Pay range: $63,822 - $92,187 annually. The exact rate depends on experience, skill level, abilities, education, location and schedule.
SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
In partnership with the chief of staff, the Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day‑to‑day operations so the medical team can devote their time to delivering the highest quality veterinary care. Your practice management skills will drive business results; your people‑leadership skills will develop associates and foster an engaging team environment. Along with a knowledgeable pet health‑care team, you’ll ensure that clients and patients have a positive experience when they visit the hospital. Through professional relationships with the veterinary medical team, field leaders, corporate headquarters and, if applicable, PetSmart® associates, you’ll help optimize the growth of both businesses. You’ll also have educational opportunities that support your career path.RESPONSIBILITIES
Educate associates on Banfield guidelines and practices. Budget and plan for the hospital. Support daily operations and staff. Schedule associates, coordinate time off, and manage continuing education needs. Interview, hire, and develop associates. Evaluate hospital processes, progress and productivity. Train associates on how to educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs and hospital services. Provide feedback and performance reviews.QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Licenses Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience Three years related experience, including direct supervisory experience (hiring, associate development).PREMISE QUALITIES, SKILLS AND OTHER COMPETENCIES
