We are seeking a motivated and student-focused professional to help elevate the College of Fine Arts by managing scholarship opportunities that transform our students' aspirations into achievements. This position plays a vital role in supporting student success by overseeing more than 260 scholarship funds, coordinating new awards and renewals, and ensuring scholarship opportunities are accurately awarded, effectively marketed, and aligned with donor intentions.

The Scholarship Coordinator serves as a trusted partner to students, faculty, staff, and donors by helping connect students with the financial resources they need to thrive. This role requires a consultative approach, strong relationship-building skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Job Summary

Coordinates scholarship program communications and fund administration. Oversees participant benefits, program coordination, and assists with student recruitment and/or marketing.

Essential Functions

Coordinates with related departments to facilitate recruitment, outreach, and/or marketing of related programs and services. May lead staff in the design and implementation of communications and educational content. Monitors compliance with program rules and regulations, provides status updates, and monitors student academic progress as required. Oversees communications efforts for projects, campaigns, events, programs and/or services. Collaborates with University staff and students to foster academic success. Oversees program eligibility and distributes awarded funds as appropriate. Monitors records and develops reports.

Job Duties
• Collaborate with the College of Fine Arts Dean's office staff, faculty, school directors, director of advising, and WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement and other crucial stakeholders about awards.
• Ensure the auditioning students meet criteria; stay informed of additional opportunities for which students may be eligible.
• Manage the tracking of scholarships and recipient's lifecycle within WSU focusing on student success and accessibility.
• Oversee graduate assistantships for the college.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with a diverse community of stakeholders, faculty, and students, tailoring interactions to suit various contexts and needs.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three (3) years of experience in student programming or related field. Every 30 hours of college coursework can be substituted for one (1) year of experience, up to 120 hours.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with detail-oriented/time sensitive tasks and confidential information/protocols in an academic and /or business setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency with current office technology and systems: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel).
• Ability to work and interact with diverse populations and communities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts or related field.
