Respiratory Care Practitioner

Position Summary The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the delivery of skilled respiratory care modalities and interventions to designated patient populations with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. This role requires advanced practitioner skills to intervene in complex patient care situations, performing independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care. The practitioner establishes therapy and treatment objectives and reviews care based on the patient's age and needs. Operation is independent under limited supervision with internal contacts including patient care staff and management, and external contacts including patients, families, physicians, outside health care providers, and other organizations. FTE: 0.9. Shift: Day. Schedule: 6:30am – 7:00pm. Requirements Graduate of an AMA‑approved Respiratory Therapy Training program. Certified (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of Washington Registry. Eligibility notice to sit for the RRT exam from NBRC required. Advanced cardiac life support credential required within 90 days of hire. Health Care Provider level CPR certification. Minimum one (1) year of acute care experience in respiratory therapy with critical care as a CRT preferred. Depending on age of the population served: ACLS, NRP, PALS. The pay scale for this position is $33.52 – $48.23 USD and may be adjusted based on skill set, level of experience, and certifications.
