Job Description Job Title: System Administrator (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Los Angeles, CA Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Company: LHH (In partnership with our client) About the Role LHH has partnered with a leading organization in Los Angeles, CA, to find a skilled and motivated System Administrator for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role provides a unique chance to work in a dynamic environment, managing and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure while contributing to key technology initiatives. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of all hardware and software systems. You will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. Key Responsibilities System Management: Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, and network infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance. Security Administration: Implement and manage security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus, and data protection measures, to safeguard the organization’s IT assets. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance and perform regular maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans, ensuring data integrity and quick recovery in the event of system failures. User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team to support ongoing projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Automation: Implement automation tools and scripts to streamline system administration tasks and improve efficiency. Qualifications Experience: 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Networking: Strong understanding of network protocols, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls. Security: Experience implementing and managing security measures to protect IT infrastructure. Problem‑Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. Certifications: Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar are a plus.
