PATH operates services throughout California, connecting clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing. About the Job The Cook position is an integral component of PATH Interim Housing. The Cook creates a welcoming, homelike environment and prepares nutritious meals for guests. The Cook works alongside kitchen and case‑management staff to ensure that all guests receive three meals each day and snacks/refreshments as needed. Responsibilities Provide all guests with a home‑like environment for the duration of their stay in PATH Interim Housing. Promote and follow interim housing established values, guidelines, and rules. Assist all volunteers by providing all necessary supports to ensure a valuable experience. Minimum Qualifications Current Food Handling Certificate or ability to obtain one. Mandatory Requirements Employment eligibility verification. CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain it. Successful completion of a tuberculosis test, background screening, and drug test as a condition of hire. Driving Driving is an essential function of this role. All candidates must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties, and the ability to qualify for PATH’s insurance coverage.
