Job Overview

The chosen individual will join our organization’s Department of Family, Population, and Preventive Medicine as a full-time clinician focused on patient care within an ambulatory Patient-Centered Medical Home environment. This role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, with no inpatient responsibilities. The candidate will also have the chance to engage in teaching initiatives, participate in research projects, and collaborate on innovative, evidence-based patient care programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in a team-oriented setting.
• Contribute to educational programs for residents and medical students.
• Engage in research and development of patient care initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance patient-centered care.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications

• MD or an equivalent international degree.
• DEA Certification.
• Board Certified or eligible in Family Medicine.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York State.
• Proficient in the full range of services provided by Family Medicine practitioners.
• Graduate of an accredited Family Medicine Residency Training Program.
• Completion of an Administrative Fellowship/Clinical Leadership Program or a minimum of three years in an administrative or leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in family medicine.
• Experience in a Patient-Centered Medical Home setting.
• Interest in teaching residents and medical students.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Health Care Administration Leadership and Management (HALM) Fellowship; MHA, MPH, or equivalent.

The main hospital serves as the only tertiary care center and Regional Trauma Center in the area, while the children's hospital offers advanced pediatric specialty care with a team of over 180 specialists.
