WLA Assistant Manager, Operations

Position Assistant Manager Responsibilities Provide positive representation of Ace Retail Group and serve customers with a friendly, outgoing demeanor. Proactively assist customers in solving problems, greet them, and thank them before they leave. Answer calls and pages promptly, courteously, and effectively. Ensure all product knowledge, store layout, and customer service standards are met. Maintain a positive, professional, and safe work environment for all associates. Supervise general store operations, opening and closing duties. Assist with implementation of Store Support Center programs and ensure successful loss prevention, safety, and internal audits. Work with the General Manager on all aspects of running the store and participate in weekly management staff meetings. Communicate issues to the appropriate Store Support Center department with GM approval. Assist with special projects within the district as directed by the District Manager. Implement new standard operating procedures for store execution. Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor merchandise areas. Ensure weekly price changes and label updates are completed accurately and on time. Oversee associate functions including training, maintenance, audits, and reports. Manage preventative maintenance and repairs to protect all physical assets. Visit competitors to stay informed of market trends. Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements Demonstrate the core values in daily decisions and interactions. High School or GED equivalent. Read and interpret safety rules, assembly directions, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, computing rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs. Work independently and flexibly. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to foster teamwork, collaboration, and motivation among associates. Stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50lbs regularly, and lift up to 100lbs occasionally with assistance. Climb as required. Compensation $20.00 per hour.
