Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Job Description Job Description Candlewood Suites Savannah Airport, an IHG Hotelis seeking a Maintenance Engineer. This role is responsible for leading all maintenance operations and ensuring the hotel consistently meets IHG brand standards for safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction in a limited-service extended stay environment . Key Responsibilities Oversee all preventative and corrective maintenance for guest rooms, public areas, and building systems. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with IHG standards and inspection readiness. Lead safety, security, and emergency procedures; ensure proper key control and chemical handling (OSHA compliant). Respond promptly to guest maintenance issues, prioritizing extended-stay guest comfort. Perform and supervise repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and in-room kitchen equipment. Manage maintenance supplies, tools, and organization of workspaces. Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives. Identify issues proactively and ensure timely resolution; communicate major concerns to hotel leadership. Maintain overall property appearance, including exterior and public spaces. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong working knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems. Prior hotel maintenance experience required; leadership experience preferred. Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize tasks, and work independently as the department head.
