SENIOR FULL-CHARGE BOOKKEEPER / CLIENT ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year, depending on experience

Employer Contribution Toward Health Insurance

Full-Time | In Person

About Us

We are a long-established CPA firm with a close-knit team and long-term relationships with our clients. We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Client Accounting Specialist to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeping professional who enjoys working with multiple businesses, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable taking ownership of their clients' accounting needs.

This is not simply a data-entry position. You will work directly with business owners and our accounting team and will be responsible for maintaining accurate books and helping clients resolve day-to-day accounting issues.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for multiple business clients

* Record financial transactions and maintain general ledger accounts

* Perform monthly bank reconciliations

* Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable records

* Process invoices, payments, deposits and other accounting transactions

* Process payroll and payroll tax payments

* Prepare and process quarterly payroll tax reports

* Work directly with clients regarding their bookkeeping and accounting needs

* Assist with year-end accounting and tax preparation

* Maintain organized and accurate financial records

* Manage multiple clients and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Qualifications:

* Strong bookkeeping and accounting experience

* Experience working with multiple companies, clients and bank accounts

* Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online

* Experience with QuickBooks Payroll or ability to learn

* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

* Experience processing payroll and payroll tax filings

* Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations

* Understanding of financial statements

* Attention to detail and accuracy

* Strong organizational and time-management skills

* Excellent problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities

* Professional communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients

* Experience in a CPA or public accounting firm is strongly preferred.

The Person We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of their clients' books.

The right candidate should be able to look at a client's financial records, recognize when something doesn't look right, determine what needs to be done, and follow through to resolve the issue.

You should be comfortable managing several clients at once, meeting deadlines, working independently, and communicating professionally with business owners.
