The Role
Lithko Contracting is seeking an Estimator to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Estimator will assist the Estimating staff and Pre-Construction Lead with all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-off, pricing and bidding of commercial and industrial construction projects.


Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation : Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for concrete construction projects, including foundations, slabs, and structural concrete
• Quantity Take-offs : Perform quantity take-offs for concrete materials and labor, ensuring all necessary components are accounted for in the estimates
• Bid Evaluation : Solicit and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and accuracy of estimates
• Collaboration : Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to align estimates with project goals and budgets
• Value Engineering : Identify value engineering opportunities and suggest cost-effective alternatives to enhance project efficiency
• Documentation : Maintain a database of historical costs and unit pricing for future reference and assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients

Qualifications

• Experience : Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in commercial concrete estimating or a related role in construction
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating) and strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and costs
• Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this role
