Medical Assistant

Seeking a Medical Assistant for a temporary-to-permanent position supporting cardiology practice. The role involves providing clinical support, patient care, and assisting physicians to ensure high-quality, patient-centered services.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient preparation, interviewing, and technical procedures to assist physicians during appointments.
• Support physicians in maintaining operational and clinical workflows within the practice.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide a positive care experience.
• Assist with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation and data entry, preferably with EPIC experience.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, adhering to practice protocols.
• Collaborate with the team to meet patient satisfaction and operational targets.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant, with ability to contribute immediately with minimal training.
• Strong understanding of clinical procedures and patient interaction.
• Previous EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible hours between 6:45 am and 6:00 pm, with extended hours on Tuesdays until 8 pm.
• Reliable transportation capable of reaching the practice within 30 minutes or less.
• Certified or registered Medical Assistant credentials preferred.
