Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Labels and stores all materials in correct storage areas
- Coordinates activities of transferring materials
- Must be able to lift 25-50lbs, regularly
- Understands inventory control principals
- Has knowledge of warehouse functions (inventory, receiving, staging, and prepping)
- Understands and implements lean practices and demand flow strategies
- Has strong math skills
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn new tasks
- Removes trash from production area and places in dumpster
- Locates items strategically to reduce wasted motion and maximize space utilization
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications, Licenses:
- Forklift Certification preferred (ability to re-certify with employer)
- Valid driver's license preferred
Physical Demands:
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
