Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent post-anesthesia care experience and be comfortable working in a high-acuity surgical recovery environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience
• Active RN License
• AHA BLS Certification
• AHA ACLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Experience with Cerner EMR

Unit Overview

The PACU provides care for patients recovering from a wide range of surgical procedures, including:

• Thoracic Surgery
• Orthopedic Surgery
• Neurology Procedures
• Vascular Surgery
• Urology Procedures
• General Surgery

This is a higher-acuity recovery unit supported by Charge Nurses and Supervisors, with 24/7 operational coverage.

Holiday Requirements

Candidates must work:

• Two (2) Major Holidays from:
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year's Day

and

• One (1) Minor Holiday from:
  • Day After Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • New Year's Eve
