CNC Engineer

We are looking for CNC Programmers to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. Salary $75,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year (Location based in PA) Responsibilities Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products and conduct reducibility review of engineering drawings. Perform operational or methods analyses related to labor standards; review product/project flow data, equipment and labor requirements to increase productivity and reduce production unit cost; assist in evaluating engineering changes and specifications. Act as technical liaison with program management, finance, design, quality, procurement, inspection, and production. Challenge Interact with Product Manufacturing Engineers during initial product designs and redesign efforts. Provide feedback for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) changes into the product design effort. Develop machining processes, including tool selection for individual components and sub‑assemblies. Manage NC program files for revision control and security per EMD procedures. Interact with equipment acquisition team members during the acquisition of new NC machines and tools. Train and mentor Operator Programmers (qualified hourly machinists). Select tooling, use vendor catalogs, and create tooling libraries in CAM. Qualifications US citizenship required. Must obtain and maintain DoD Security clearance. BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum five (5) years in a manufacturing environment with primary experience in machining, welding/fabrication, assembly processes, electrical, or plastics. Minimum five (5) years of CAM experience (e.g., Mastercam for NC program generation, Siemens NX CAD for NC programming) and blueprint reading (GD&T, ASME Y14.5M). Experience with commercial nuclear and/or military quality systems. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of 3D solid modeling.
