Accounting ManagerWE DON'T CHEAT AT SOLITAIREPosition Summary: The Accounting Manager oversees the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Special Billings, and Compliance functions, leading a team of 10+ direct reports. This role is a key part of the finance team and reports directly to the Controller.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Special Billings functionsHire, train, and develop accounting staff; conduct performance reviews for direct reportsMonitor and manage AR and AP KPIsLead initiatives to improve AP/AR workflows and internal controlsPrepare work papers for the year-end auditManage local compliance requirementsBuild strong working relationships with internal stakeholdersPerform other duties and special projects as assignedEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or in Business with equivalent accounting experience7+ years of experience; public accounting experience and CPA license preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP, with a preference for leasing/rental accounting experienceProven experience improving and evolving back-office processes and proceduresStrong data analysis skills; comfortable working with large datasetsExperience with Microsoft Business Central preferredAdvanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially ExcelConstruction industry experience a plusRequired Skills/Competencies:Demonstrated Conduct that is in Alignment with Our Core ValuesFinancial Reporting and Forecasting Experience is a PlusSelf-DrivenCustomer/Client Focus.Personal Effectiveness/Credibility.Strong Written, Interpersonal Communications, and Verbal Communication SkillsExcellent Problem-Solving, Time Management, and Leadership SkillsPhysical/Mental Demands:Position requires a high degree of concentration to manage frequent interruptions while meeting strict deadlines.
