We hope you join us!Job DescriptionUnder general supervision, performs a variety of duties related to the deli department and assists in fulfilling customer orders at the deli counter with professional and efficient service. Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Operates a deli/cheese slicerPrepares, packages, and prices product as directedAssists customers with orders placed at deli counterStocks and rotates merchandise as directedMaintains a current knowledge of productProvides assistance to meat and seafood departments as neededProvides excellent customer serviceAbides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policyMaintains a clean and organized work area free of hazardsPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedSamples product at the direction of the department managerMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Demonstrates proper phone etiquette while taking orders/messagesAbility to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this positionPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
