Description:
Payroll Coordinator Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- A minimum of five (5) years' successful payroll experience, preferably in an Illinois public school setting
- Extensive experience with payroll and accounting software, preferably Tyler Technology's School ERP Pro (Infinite Visions)
- Highly skilled and accurate in calculations involved in payroll preparation, with a strong math aptitude
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred
- Knowledge of the Illinois Teachers' Retirement System (TRS) and Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF)
- Excellent customer service, organization, prioritization, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Sound judgment, a high level of trustworthiness, and respect for confidentiality
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a deadline-driven environment with frequent interruptions
- Willingness to learn and implement new technologies, procedures, and processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability and willingness to work overtime during high needs times of the year as directed
