Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a PA or compact license, prior travel experience, and independent proficiency with the DaVinci Xi robotic system.

Job Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting,
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM,
• Call requirement of 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix with a 30-minute response time,
• Weekend requirement of 3-4 shifts within a 6-week matrix, which may fall on days, evenings, or nights,
• Holiday coverage required as needed, potentially on any shift,
• Floating required as needed,
• Special scheduling requests and blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated,
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• Must function independently across specialties including robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac/open heart), and trauma,
• Epic charting system used,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license, PA state license or compact required,
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only),
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience, with at least 2 years post-orientation,
• Trauma Level II experience required; Level I experience preferred,
• Teaching hospital experience required,
• Previous travel nursing experience required,
• Must be proficient with the DaVinci Xi robotic system without need for refresher training; familiarity with DV5 DaVinci robot is a plus,
• Proficient in robotic general, GYN, thoracic, and urology procedures,
• Epic charting experience required,

• Preference given to candidates who can both scrub and circulate,
• May involve care for COVID-positive patients,

• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days,
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered at a reduced bill rate,

• Candidates without prior travel experience will not be considered for this role
