Nocturnist, Hospital Medicine - Nocturnist - Physician - Troy, NY

Job Description

Samaritan Hospital is seeking full time Nocturnist physicians to join the Hospital Medicine team in Troy, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established, collegial hospital medicine program within a physician friendly environment supported by strong system resources. 

Position Details:  

\n
• Provide comprehensive medical care to diverse population of critically ill adult patients, including overnights admissions, rounding and discharge planning 
\n
• Rotate amongst Admitting, A1 and Floor Coverage roles 
\n
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans 
\n
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide timely interventions to stabilize patients 
\n
• Conducts a history and physical examination, and note dictated in our EPIC EMR system 
\n
• Full Time Nocturnist schedule: 7 on / 7 off schedule with 12 hour shifts
\n
• Requirement of 1900 hours annually, 475 per quarter
\n

Qualifications:  

\n
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine 
\n
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure 
\n
• New grads encouraged to apply  
\n
• DEA eligibility required 
\n
• Team oriented approach with a commitment to high quality patient care 
\n

Recruitment Package :

\n
• Base Salary: $352,000 commensurate with experience 
\n
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position.

• Starting Bonus of $40,000
\n
