Role Overview As a Wholesale Planner, you will drive profitable growth across a defined wholesale account base by translating seasonal strategies into demand and inventory plans, collaborating with Sales, Merchandising and Supply to optimize assortment, inventory flow and in‑season performance across footwear and apparel, and ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time. Key Responsibilities Build and manage seasonal demand and inventory plans by account, aligning to financial targets and product strategies. Analyze historical performance, sell‑through and trends to inform forecasts and identify risks and opportunities. Partner with Sales to support account‑level planning, including pre‑season buys, replenishment and in‑season reforecasting. Monitor weekly business performance (sell‑in, sell‑through, inventory) and recommend actions to maximize revenue and margin. Optimize inventory flow and allocation across footwear and apparel to support account needs and reduce excess exposure. Drive in‑season trade actions (reorders, cancellations, markdown recommendations) based on performance insights. Collaborate with Merchandising on assortment planning to ensure alignment with consumer demand and account positioning. Support key milestone processes (line planning, go‑to‑market, order book management, forecast updates). Maintain planning tools and data accuracy; contribute to reporting and business reviews. Partner cross‑functionally (Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service) to resolve inventory, fulfillment and forecast challenges. Qualifications Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into clear actions. Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and experience with planning or ERP systems. Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Strong partnership mindset with the ability to influence Sales and cross‑functional stakeholders. Clear, concise communicator able to synthesize insights into actionable recommendations. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and follow‑through skills. Comfortable working with ambiguity and adapting plans based on evolving business needs. Basic understanding of product lifecycle, wholesale business models and inventory management principles. Passion for the Vans brand and understanding of the consumer and marketplace. Compensation & Benefits Hiring Range: $73,440–$91,800 USD annually. The position is eligible for an annual incentive plan, sales incentive or commission potential, with details provided during the interview process.
